Email from Steve 17th September 12:
Hi Nick,
Thanks also for a great three days on Skye. We really enjoyed ourselves and, as always, learnt lots. Given the weather its amazing what we managed, and thanks for helping us get the most out of our trip. In some ways, given the forecasts, we were really lucky with the weather - but it really was wet on the Thursday. However, I'll remember lunch in the bothy bag for a long while! Our boots still are not quite dry.
The CD of photos arrived today and they are great, particularly given the conditions. Many thanks . The photos and videos remind me how full on the weather was at times! Thanks so much in getting us out in conditions where we would have struggled to do anything by ourselves, let alone have such rewarding and challenging days. We, as always learnt, a lot from your patient instruction.
We'll definitely be up for a trip in May and will be in touch in the New Year, if not before. Thanks again. Steve

Hi Nick,
Received the disk [of photos] today, much appreciated and thanks once again for a great weekend, all three of us took a great deal from your instruction and I have to add your professionalism, manner and sense of humour (even although you laughed when I fell in the burn), made the weekend so enjoyable. See you next year on Skye!!!

Thanks for picking such an awesome spot for us to hike in on Saturday, it was exactly the kind of thing we had in mind. I still can't believe how lucky we were with the weather.
We'll definitely come back to you if we need anything similar in the same area in future.
Thanks very much.
Best wishes, Steph

Hi Nick,
Photos arrived, brilliant ... great reminder of a fantastic week. Would have been good to have a crack at the ridge, but thinking about it don't really care, what we did was a challenge, interesting and fun, always be another time!
Thanks again Nick.
Cheers Bruce

Email from Steve 9th May 12:
Dear Nick,
Many thanks for a great weekend in Lochaber, one of the most memorable climbing trips we have had. The practice leading on Curved Ridge was just what we wanted to do, and the icy climb of Tower Ridge was amazing. Im glad you brought the crampons ... not least for the walk on the summit plateau of the Ben. Beware: I think Kath is a convert to semi-winter conditions. As always, your encouragement and excellent instruction were most appreciated, and we feel were now in a position to get on with some easy leading.
Thanks again for all your effort.
Best Steve

Email from Ian 16th March 12:
Dear Nick, Thanks very much for making the last 4 days such a success; I had a great time.
Having decided to make sure that this was the year I was really going to get some scottish winter ice done, the ice departed and the days could have been awful and would have been without your expertise. You chose the new objectives brilliantly but democratically too. We got some great classics done and they will be in my memory until that departs as well. I even enjoyed the walk-ins (!) and the information you imparted about the hills and crags. You taught me a lot about rope techniques and I will be baffling my climbing partners with the new. Each day brought something fresh and I feel very lucky to have spent time with you in the hills.
Thanks so much for a great time and great company.
yours, Ian

Thank You from Richard, Bryony and Abby 28th February 12:
Thank you Nick for the CD of Photos - you did take a lot, and it's lovely to have them as a reminder of our time in the Cairngorms. It's such a beautiful place. We had a brilliant time with you and we all wished we'd had longer and could be stomping round the mountains.
Wishing you lots of lovely snow, every success and hoping everything works out just right for you ... Thank you so much for everything, Richard, Bryony and Abby.

Email from Damien 25th February 12:
Can we just add a special note of gratitude to our guide Nick Carter. He managed to fill our week expertly despite the weather and his patience and enthusiam were much appreciated. We could not have been happier with our experience and we think this is largely down to Nick. The day we did East Buttress, he managed to drag two idiots up what was quite a remarkable route for us and get us back down in time for tea and medals. On other days, he provided much needed enthusiasm in the waning conditions and ensured we gained the skills we needed to do things on our own. We would not have had such a good time without him.

Email from Neil 25th February 12:
Hi Nick,

Many thanks for such an enjoyable few days. Although the weather conditions were not the most favourable you were able to tailor our days to suite the weather. Your patience and cheerful banter kept us going and apart from your failure to recognize how important a nice leisurely lunch was to us (lol) we had the best week of our year. We learnt a lot more than we expected and this was down to your superb teaching, so thanks again.

Cheers, Neil and Damien

Hi Nick, Just a quick email to say thank you so much for a fantastic few days! We thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt a lot. Thanks for making it so fun!

I will definitely think about doing another course with you later in the year to consolidate everything if that is ok! I have seen the photos on your blog- they look great. Can't wait to see the others! Thank you again and I am sure I will be in contact soon.

Best wishes, Verity
